Last Friday I finished Alanah's senior portraits. Once again it was a rainy day but of course this didn't stop us from getting great pictures. Alanah, thanks for your perseverance, great attitude, and patience. I hope you like your pictures.

Little Angels

Last Saturday was one of the most beautiful days for photographing family portraits. It was pretty easy to tell. Anyone with a digital camera and a desire to take pictures of family and friends were at the Indianapolis Museum of Art. So packed we often had to wait for turns in certain key favorite areas of the park.

Certainly this would be a test for little ones. Much to my surprise Scott's little angels were nothing but... little angels.

Photogenic is definitely an understatement for this family. So my hats off to the Luttell's, thanks for another successful photo shoot.

Rain or Shine!

I have to start by saying that the past two weeks have been very crazy. Between fall pictures, work, and of course the proverbial flu, I've finally posted some key photos from Alanah's senior photo shoot. It was a rainy day which for most would spell gloom and cause for rescheduling. This wasn't the case for Alanah!

As you can see rain and cold weather could not stop Alanah. What turned out to be an uncertain day worked out to be a very successful shoot.

All Smiles!

Last weekend I had the pleasure of shooting Corinne and Jared's wedding. Corinne is a former co-worker of mine who is always so serious. An excellent trait to have if you're an ER nurse! Her biggest concern for her wedding pictures was not smiling for them. " Andy I have to tell you that we both hate getting our pictures taken". Well, as you can see they were all smiles!

Corinne and Jared, thank you again for a beautiful day, beautiful wedding, and those beautiful smiles! Andy

Summer's almost over....

Well this summer is almost over and the busiest person award has to go to my son Noah. He's been in six different states, has seen four grandparents, and visited two different amusement parks. From swimming in Bull Shoals lake to riding every roller coaster at Holiday World, he's kept a very busy schedule. All in one summer...... A summer that's soon coming to an end. Well today I caught my son outside in our front yard in deep thought. A look that I can't help but cherish with a photograph. Yes Noah, summer is almost over and school is soon here.

July 18, 2009 Dustin & Stacia

Well I'm finally posting some key photos from last weekend's wedding. We had such a great time shooting Stacia and Dustin. One of the most nicest couples I have ever met! Not only was the wedding beautiful but the weather could not have been better. Of course I could not have pulled it off like I did without the help from Gabe Mass and Dylan Mannakee. Gabe is awesome and goes without saying but Dylan really surprised me. Dylan was such a great help and at the same time got some awesome pictures. Not bad for first time wedding assistant! Here are some key photos that really caught my eye during my initial post processing. One is of Dustin near a window at the church with soft sunlight coming in. One of my favorite wedding shots that I typically shoot of the groom.

The next shot shows just how fun and crazy the wedding party could be. I Absolutely love this shot!

All in all Saturday July 18th, 2009 will go down in my book as an extremely successful wedding shoot and I'm sure will be a memorable one for Dustin and Stacia. So Dustin and Stacia, my deepest thanks for a beautiful wedding and best wishes to the two of you. Thank you again, Andy.

Lunch at Santorini's

Today was a great day. Sleeping in late, well somewhat, and enjoying a fine cup of coffee was a fine way to start the day. My only thing on my schedule was to meet my friend Gabe at a Greek restaurant. This meant Santorini's. If you've never been to Santorini's you are really missing out. By far the best Greek restaurant in the city. The meeting was more than our usual fun and laughs intermixed with an unbelievable amount camera talk. It was here that Gabe introduced me to Dylan. Well what do you know Dylan is crazy about photography too. I was so impressed with Dylan's desire and ambition towards photography that I offered Dylan to come along and assist/shoot during my next wedding. Yes, Dustin and Stacia you two are getting three wild and crazy guys to shoot your wedding. It will be a great time. Afterwards we took the opportunity to shoot with my favorite camera, a Canon 5D, and with my favorite lens, the Canon 50mm f/1.4. Oh yes, they were shot at f/1.4!

A New Beginning!

Hi, Today I decided to make a bold move in regards to my photography business. In addition to starting a blog, I've also decided to change my business name from A B Photography to Andy Bowersox Photography. I have Gabe Mass to thank for this. Not only is Gabe an incredibly talented and gifted photographer he is also a very gracious friend who is always willing to give sound business advice. Here's to you Gabe! Well my next wedding is July 18th and I am looking forward to blogging about the wedding and uploading some key pictures too. Take care, Andy Bowersox
